On Narduzzi

Sheesh, there's too much to write about this week.  I didn't want to write anything about the possibility of Narduzzi leaving until he actually left or stayed.  Anyway, he's staying and that's a good thing.  I don't think it would have been the end of the world if he left, but as we found out when Roushar took over for Treadwell, there are growing pains associated with replacing experienced assistant coaches.  I wouldn't want to go through those growing pains at the same time that they are losing two of their best defensive players: Jerel Worthy and Trenton Robinson.  The Spartans would have likely found an adequate replacement for Narduzzi, but the Nard-dawg has a chance to take next year's defense to even more elite heights.  It would be more comfortable for MSU if he left in 2013, the year I expect MSU's talent to be peaking.  In the meantime, Dantonio may want to get a guy like Mike Tressel (is he next in line?) more involved on defense, so that the transition to a new coordinator becomes as smooth as possible.
